Job Description

Our client is currently working on an excellent opportunity for a professional who has experience in Insolvency Accounting to join their team as a Senior Insolvency Accountant . This large Insolvency firm have a huge amount of organic growth within their offices and as such, has the capacity to take on a Senior Insolvency Accountant to support their business recovery unit. This role will sit within the Sydney office, with a focus on supporting and maintaining accurate reporting.

They are able to offer fantastic support in terms of training and development and have uncapped progression potential, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accountancy career.

To join the Insolvency team, you will need to be an advanced level accountant with demonstrable experience in insolvency accounting. We are looking for individuals that are committed and enthusiastic about accountancy, who can be flexible and adaptable working in a continuously changing environment.

The role will include:
  • Applying appropriate controls to client engagements
  • Assisting in the preparation of the budgets and cash flows
  • Preparing draft reports to lenders and creditors
  • Compiling information, drawing conclusions and making recommendations
  • Building and developing relationships with clients including promoting the business restructuring offering
  • Ensuring all working papers are accurate and file is maintained in appropriate manner
  • Ensuring investigations are completed and any identified contraventions are reported on a timely basis

The candidate should have the following to bring to the role to ensure they are successful:
  • Work experience in a similar role from 2-5 years
  • Degree qualified in relevant area
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Ability to work as a team and independently as required
  • Strong communication with clients and team members to ensure strong relationships
  • High attention to detail due to the sensitive nature of the work
